Hi everyone. I am a new member to the forum. I have been playing guitar for about 6 months and I am trying to be self taught. It is hard and progress is slow but rewarding and also fun. I hope to be able to add to the discussions. I know I will be able to gain much knowledge from you all.

Welcome to TheFret, DY! You're probably aware of this already, but Robert's Dolphinstreet site has many great videos of lessons, tricks, tips, equipment, etc. to help players continue progress. ;)
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Any particular type music/equipment you prefer?

I really like all kinds of music but I seem to be leaning towards country at the moment. Oh, and I love the Chili Peppers...always have. As for equipment...I am married with children. I prefer whatever bargains I can find.:DR

Wait a sec, my parents are Yankees and live in NC now, scratch that question.
