Does anyone know if this footswitch (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/stupid) would work on my Vox AD30VT?

I saw that too. I can't help you with the Vox, but i was thinking it MIGHT work with the Peavey Classic 30. I have the original footswitch already, and it looks like pretty much the same thing but a different shaped box. The buttons are labeled the same. Does the Vox footswitch use the same type of controls? That might help you decide whether to try it. Maybe DVM or someone would have an idea if it would work with the Vox AD series.

Don't think so. Here's a picture and the schematic of this footswitch.

It uses a mono 1/4" cable (2 wires) to switch 2 functions.

Here's the correct footswich for your Vox amp.

It uses a stereo 1/4" cable (3 wires) to switch 2 functions.

You might get one function out of it but you certainly wouldn't get both functions. Answer: NO.

Yeah, I'd agree with Wacky and Spuds....

I looked at the Peavey switch and it's plug also appears to be stereo so it looks like it won't work for Peavey also. Not that it is on topic, but since I opened my mouth earlier.

Thanks for getting back to me. I did notice that about the stereo vs. mono plug. Wishful thinking...
