And got my Strats volume control to work correctly.
Ok, heres where my mess up was...
When I ordered my pups, I also ordered this kit
http://store.guitarfetish.com/costupelcoki.html
So I could just wire a whole new pickguard with the new pickups and leave the stock one fully assembled just incase.
Anyhow, everyone I spoke with told me that the 500k pot that came with the kit was not a good upgrade and that I should stick with the 250k. So, I bought a Fender 250K pot and using the wiring diagram GF.com sent me I wired it up according to plan.
So after about a week of being too lazy to take my guitar back apart and having to fuss with trying to reuse the new strings DR strings I put on it last week and jut playing it at 10 (Run on sentence anyone?), I finally got sick of not having any volume control. Last night I unsoldered the 250k pot and put on the 500k pot, problem solved sounds great!!!!
Im wondering if my whole problem was that the diagram they sent was specifically wired for a 500k pot?
