In my "Jam band" we play a lot of system of a down and offspring and those require two different types of tuning (Drop C and standard) Since i have to that a lot will my strings wear out faster:confused:

They will seem to loose something as you move back and forth between the two tunings. The temper seems to leave the more you do it.
Get your new Les Paul and leave one guitar in standard and one in drop C.

Great advice spud. I do most of my playing in either open E or modal G [essentially open G], and i found the strings were lasting longer once i started using different guitars for different tunings.
