Painted Desert by Ikue Mori, Robert Quine & Marc Ribot
This is an album I cannot seem to stop listening to [at least once or twice a week this one gets played for the last year or so, down from it's everyday count but still not out of the playlist altogether]. The album features two New York guitar legends [Quine of Voidoid/Lou Reed fame, and Ribot who has worked with Tom Waits, John Zorn, Elvis Costello, et al] along with the queen of sampled drums, Ikue Mori [founding member of No Wave band DNA]. Quite simply, it's some of the sweetest playing by both guitarists [who play like they were meant to play together] and provides a ton of inspiration for my own playing. Highly reccommend this one to you guys.
