I was curious as to how you guys think this is coming along. I just completely wiped Cubase and have begun using Tracktion now exclusively for PC recording. I also abandoned the use overprocessing with way too many VST plugins. What I am linking to here is just a sample I did to test the levels and minimum compression/verb/etc. used to paint the overall song structure in the project.

Yay or Nay?

I say Yay, Reverb sounds great, the cymbals were alittle bright, but over all sound good.

Thanks, guys. By the way, Tracktion 3 project bundle is only $99. It comes with a really nice selection of plugins which makes it work 2-3x more IMHO.

I am trying to locate the site I saw yesterday where I've seen this offered online for $88.10. If I find it I will re-edit this post with the link.

Some may not like the absence of knobs and the such that other programs have that try to emulate the feel of real hardware. I appreciate the clutter free interface and [I]extremely[I] low system processing it requires. This has to be one of the most cpu/ram friendly pieces of software I've used.

Man, you nailed that sound! That reminded me of my Pearl Jam concert in Seattle in 1998 in the key arena. How we yelled and screamed, when McCrady started to play that song and Vedder just improvised the vocals - unbelievable.

Back to your recording. The guitar is perfectly clear and I do not miss the dynamics which is pretty important. The reverb setting is perfectly timed and you played the lick just like PJ woud play it.

I look forward to hearing that with vocals.
