I heard on the radio this morning that Joe Bonamassa is going to be in Green Bay in the beginning of November! I went online and got pretty nice seats. $15+$3 for fees/ordering each. Two of my friends and I are going to go. I haven't seen a bona fide concert in almost two decades.

What a perfect excuse for using Teh YouTube Thingy (tm)!

You lucky dog. As usual we are getting stiffed on the good entertainment.

Here is Joe's complete tour schedule.

Grants Pass, OR? What! Well, that is only a 5 or so hour drive from here Spud bro, we could roadtrip it over there!

I saw Joe two times live. First with his old line up which was great, second with his new drummer and badd player. The drummer is cool, but the bass player is pretty lame, he's got no rock and roll factor.

Joe is great live, very accurate and his singing is pretty cool!

I tell you he's got the best live sound :-)

That would be 8 or so for me plus the trip home for a 17 hour total. Quit being so cheap and get out the airplane. Sheesh.:p

Well, usually nobody interesting comes all the way up here. Milwaukee or Chicago, sure, but not up to Green Bay. I half way wanted to see Van Halen when they were on tour a couple of years ago, but the tickets were way too close to a Benjamin for my budget.

I've got to hand it to the Oneidas. They bring in some interesting acts. I heard about the Allman Brothers and Gov't Mule performing there last summer, but too late to get tickets. I almost drove off the road when I heard that Bonamassa would be up here.

Come on now! You know roadtrips in Idaho start at 5+ hours and go up from there. Cowboy up, Thelma, Louise is calling! :D

For those of you with Loopers this riff is great to jam over. I set nice medium 4/4 tempo and looped the bass riff at the start of this clip and jammed over the top, trying to replicate some of the licks Joe plays...

Give it a try

I'd love to see Joe Bonamassa live! He's a killer player for sure, with BIG tone.

Man, I feel your pain. I'm originally from Kansas. I grew up in Wichita, which is the backside of beyond. There was not a whole lot to do there, and only the really huge acts used to come through. Plus the local coliseum had really crappy acoustics. It sounded like they ran everything throug one big 18" speaker and miked it.

Now that I live in Colorado (15 miles North of Denver), I have the opposite problem: there is so much to do here, I'd go broke trying to do it all.

Edit: Big K, just saw your post. I live in Broomfield. Where are you located?
