I never seen an article which explained how to level the fretboard without strings for a starting point. This make sense if you are going to level the frets. I will try this the next time I change strings on one of my guitars. I wonder how much relief there is after the strings are installed? I would image it all depends on which string set up is used.

That was a great read, he really turned a "cheap" guitar into a really player for all us "techies" out there. I am actually surprized you don't see that on more guitars now.

I think that most of that is because most people nowadays would rather sell their cheap guitars and buy another, or pay other people to do it for them, I'm going to start work on a flying-V guitar for one of my friends who only has a cheap epi SG to work on, and he's going to tell other people that I will be making guitars over the summer for money (what else would I do it for?)

anyways, this looks like a great mod project and would look forward to getting some cash for this sort of thing.

Very nice Justaguy. In addition to the craftsmanship, I like the fact that he admits his mistakes. Like the jack in the middle that does nothing. Every time I work on my guits I make lots of mistakes. It's nice to see that I'm not alone.

It was a nice project..

From my laymens approach to things, I would think it much easier and viable to make a small usb junction box.. or for 29 bucks buy a USB guitar cord?

To re-route and mess with the guitar specificly to go USB seems like an awful lot of trouble and nonsense when one can just buy a USB guitar cord for 30 bucks..
