Johnny A is probably best known for being the guitarist for Peter Wolf (from the J. Geils band), and he started doing solo stuff a few years ago.

YES!! I love this guy's playing. I posted about him HERE (http://www.thefret.net/showthread.php?t=508) about a year ago. I don't think he had anything on YouTube at the time, so thanks for posting this, TS! Both of his solo CD's, Get Inside and Sometime Tuesday Morning, are excellent. Nice to be able to see him actually play some of those tunes. :Dude:

TS's link got me looking at other YouTube postings for Johnny A., and I came across this fascinating (at least to me) 5-part interview from Gibson's Summer Jam '07. He talks about a broad spectrum of topics from hardware stuff to influences to songwriting and much more. Each interview is about 8 - 9 minutes long, so there's a lot of stuff there. Some playing, too, though it's mostly him talking. Very down to earth guy who gets his points across in a no-nonsense style. Check it out; here's the link to Part 1:
