On the left is a gem of a guitar I found in a little shop in St. Petersburg. A, believe it or not, Dean Sweetwood 00R. All solid spruce and rosewood. 12 frets clear, slotted headstock. A Chinese copy of an old Martin 00. Very old timey look and vibe. I never thought I'd own a Dean, as I think of them as heavy metal, crazy guitars. How Dean came to make this line of guitars is kind of interesting. In the wake of the film "O Brother Where Art Thou" and it's very successful sound track, Dean thought a line of old time looking acoustics might be a hit. Good idea, just not for Dean. Could not give them away. Only made for a year or so, then discontinued.

Never felt comfortable posting this kind of stuff on the Washie site. Nice to have some neutral turf.

Dimebag Darryl & the Soggy Bottom Boys, eh?

It pays to keep your eye open for the unusual. How's it play?

LOL. Great tone, very balanced. Lots of volume for such a little body.

Fantastic! I would've never guessed.
