Amazing.
I still have the Guitar Player magazine from when he was 18 and in the "new player' spotlight. It was just a few lines about how he would be up an coming player to watch.

Lol.. I wouldn´t mind one of YJM´s fancy 18th century style shirts.. I wonder when they will be in fashion again? :whatever:

Yngwie has still got his moments. What he plays over this progression is very interesting. Haven't seen him play that good in a long time.

My guy at Guitar Center says he comes in all the time to buy Strats. Id love to hear him test one out while I was there to see if hes really that good on a stock guitar and amp.

I dont care much for "neo-classic" music, but not many guitarists can play like Yngwie..

Rob,

Thanks. I'm like many here and don't get into this music or playing style, but I am impressed with someone that can do it. I've heard people say it's not that difficult, but those comments usually come from someone that isn't capable of doing it.:whatever:

Alright Robert... here's a video request for you.

For your next video posting, we'd like to see you sling your guitar 360 degrees (around the world) like Yngwie does at 1 min, 15 sec into this clip.

Just make sure you tightin the lock straps first! :Dude:

Oh, and unless you have 10 ft ceilings... you might want to try this one outside.

What's that?... you'll do it if you can use my guitar for the shoot?

So that was "very bluesy", huh?? Oh, yeah--I think I heard Buddy Guy do a number a lot like that recently.... :whatever:

While I certainly respect Yngwie's stunning technical prowess, this kind of thing just leaves me absolutely cold, musically. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. I dunno, maybe my reaction to this stuff belies my lack of musical sophistication. Well, so be it....

And where's that Emperor Joseph II when you need him for an apt quote?? ;) :D

Its actually a really nice strat, but I never really figured out how to play with a scalloped fretboard properly!

You have to have a very light left hand touch .If you press down to hard you will make the note sharp.Really good for solo work and bends. Not really made for chordal work. I took a 70's neck and scalloped it all the way baby!!! Check post your strat thread if ya havent seen it:D .

Oh yea it dosent do Y.M. but lays down some mean blues!:AOK:
