....Happy All Saints Day (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_Saints), in honor of Christian martyrs. Or All Hallows Day, as it is also known. Which is why yesterday was All Hallows Eve, a.k.a. "Halloween".

Not sure, but I'm pretty certain it wouldn't be women's clothing. Sorry to disappoint you....

It's also Dia de los Muertos.

It's also Dia de los Muertos.

My jury's still out on that. I've seen descriptions that say it's the same day as All Saints. but others that say it's the day after. Fwiw, my calendar at work says Los Muertos is manana, no ahora.

I read that the "day" of the dead in Mexico is typically celebrated (if that's the right word!) for TWO days--Nov. 1 and 2. And since 11/1 is All Saints Day (for Christian martyrs) and 11/2 is All Souls Day (for the rest of the faithful departed), they both honor the dead. So I guess it all hangs together pretty consistently....

Too bad we don't have a "beating a dead Christian" smilie! This thread could use it about now! :D
