A few months back, I posted about buying a Bluesbreaker clone that I received and it was dead on arrival. I sent it back to the builder and it's fine now.

So...lately I'm getting really serious about playing and getting good tone, so I traded in my Duoverb combo yesterday at GC for a Fender Vibrolux amp.

I get the amp home, plug it in, and I hear a static sound coming from the amp so I check all the tubes to make sure they didn't come loose in the box. Each time I touch one of the 6L6 tubes or tap on it, I get a LOUD crackling sound...looks like a faulty power tube. Looks like a trip back to GC....

Too bad, but probably an easy fix.

A vibrolux? You have good taste in amps, man. I hope the trouble with this purchase gets settled quickly, and to your satisfaction.

The Vibrolux is a sweet amp, man. You're gonna love it after the tube is replaced.
