OK fretters, I stumbled upon an ad for a used Peavey Classic 20 amp with a 10" (upgraded) Eminence Alpha Speaker. Cosmetic condition: looking really goon on the pics, Price: $220, (I’m sure it’s negotiable) Though I read few reviews, I need your thoughts on this amp’s price and quality.

Few things to consider, I play guitar for my personal enjoyment, don’t gig live, so I don’t really need a very loud amp. I’m getting a bit bored with my current Line 6 Spider II and its somewhat sterile sounds, though I like its versatility. You know how it goes, it's time for a change.:D

Any thoughts would be very appreciated!:)

The 20 is good and great through a 4x12. If you can get it under 2 bills then do. It's a dry amph so you might want some spatial effect (verb or delay) to go with it. If it still has the Chinese tubes in it you can negotiate a lower price because you'll want to re-tube it after you get it.

Under $200 - get it! Otherwise, a Crate Power Block for $99 will smoke it.

Thank you Spud for pointing out the Power Block, too.
