Steve,

She is a cute little girl. I have a 16 year old and to play it safe she's grounded. Another 16 more years and I'll let her date.

She broke up with her first boyfriend last night, actually he broke up with her. I felt so sorry for her and wanted to cheer her up - less than 24 hours later she's out having pizza with her friends.

Enjoy every moment, they do go by fast.

Hehe. Actually, I grew the goatee partially to scare off a particular young woman at the time. I ended up marrying her :) Long story. Anyway, I keep it now (even though it's graying) because otherwise I'd have to shave two times a day. I remember when I thought it would be SO cool to have to shave . . . If I start feeling old, I'll shave it off. I'll look about 15 years younger.

Cool pics Ro3b. A friend of mine I haven't seen in many many years had a Guild and I always loved that guitar. Maybe we could get a clip from you, would love to hear it:D

Thanks! Yeah, that Guild D35 is a great guitar. I bought it new in 1985 or thereabout; I know it like the inside of my mouth. I'll see if I can get some solo clips up soon.

It's great to see everybody. Always nice to have faces to put to the names.

how do I post pics?

Here's one way:

Save your photos to your harddrive and then go to photobucket.com and set up an account. Once in photobucket, upload your photo(s) from your harddrive. You will see an upload button, click on it and pull the photos from your harddrive. Once uploaded, just click on the bottom selection (just below the photo titled IMG Code), that will copy the photo, then go to your post, right click, hit paste.

This just in from the AP wire service:

Noted Fretmeister "WackyT" surveys the damage caused by strumming a single chord on his El Macho Deathshredder guitar and 2500W Meatgrinder DefoliatorXXX amp, recent acquisitions from eBay. This desolate scene of carnage--a lush piece of Hawaiian jungle real estate just moments before--vividly demonstrates the awesome power available to the casual musician in the 21st century.

Says WackyT, "Dude!! I only had the amp on 3 and it goes up to 13!! I bet I can take out every tree on the island if I dime this sucker!!"

Haha, well, I'd tend to agree, but there are a lot of new folks here of late and some may not know that at least I don't take myself very seriously. :AOK:

In particular, I can easily see how some could possibly equate having a silly amount of guitars (though I have friends who have several times over what I do!), as I am first to admit I do, with "having something to prove" or seriously having delusions of grandeur.

When in fact I'm well aware I'm just a shmoe in a couple p*ss-ant local "original music " (translation: we make very little money) bands, with a moderately severe chronic case of gear acquisition syndrome. ;) And a "Rick Nielsen complex."

Squier's version of the SG. Except much fatter.

What's the actual model name (or number) called?

Is it the Squier version of the previously discontinued DeArmond S-73? Like this?

http://www.clavedesol.com.ar/fender/imagenfender/0347300_md.jpg

I never played the Squier versions, nor specifically the DeArmond S-73, but I have played many, and owned several DeArmonds, and they are good guitars. The pickups in the Squier versions were not as nice but otherwise I would think that if yours is a Squier S-73 it should not be too bad a guitar.

PS-- the DeArmond version is basically an import copy of the old Guild S-100 (minus the coil-splitter):

I can be shrill. :) But you aren't new, and I have seen you several times. Thanks for the new pick though. It would be fun to see the 80's stuff though. :bravo:

Definitely not a Vintage Mahogany then. They're a newer model with a more matte finish. Couldn't see how shiny it was in that first pic. A Studio of some sort, for sure.
