Some of the thread titles are a little hard to figure out the content from. An example is the "Holy Cow" thread.

A better example might be "Great deal on speaker cabinets." Since all of my cows already have holes I'm going to skip this thread, but I'd be way excited to read about a good deal.

Clearer titles would be appreciated so that people searching can find posts and that the information doesn't go ignored. There is plenty of great information coming from everyone so lets just try to get more people to read it.

Thank you.:)

I've always tried to do the "Holy Cow" part then add a hyphen and typed in the topic of what I was holy cowing about. That would work too wouldn't it?

Ya Tone. That's perfect. Just so there is some idea in the title.

Then holy cow would be appropriate because it is what the thread is about.

Sorry to keep you up. Guilty conscience?

But then if you meant that in the religious sense, it wouldn't be allowed.

See Spud, a couple of days ago I mentioned that was the ugliest avatar I've seen.

BTW, we inadvertantly stepped into religion and in a funny way it takes us back to Holy Cow

In Hindu philosophy, an avatar (also spelled as avatara) (Sanskrit: अवतार, avatāra), most commonly refers to the incarnation (bodily manifestation) of a higher being (deva), or the Supreme Being (God) onto planet Earth. The Sanskrit word avatāra- literally means "descent" (avatarati) and usually implies a deliberate descent into lower realms of existence for special purposes. The term is used primarily in Hinduism, for incarnations of Vishnu whom many Hindus worship as God.

BTW, the cow is not worshipped by Hindu and would be better classified as taboo.

Ok, I'm finished with my comments, I return the floor back to you.

Very interesting Strum, not to make light of it but..

as long as avatar doesn't refer to the incarnation of Spuds avatar, we'll be ok.

I actually learned about the avatar while watching The Who documentary. It was during the part about Who's Next and Baba O'Riley.

And they say rock isn't educational, pfftthhh.

Hey Spud, when you grow tired of Sam, you can use Tom for your avatar.

Dude, I have "Sam" immortalized on my t-shirt. He appears to be a cross between a burn victim and space alien:beer:

After thinking it was the Chupacabra that's also what I thought it was too. A bat that was eating it's own tail or something!

This thread gotten so twisted, the title no longer applies - It should be called something like "Spud's Ugly Avatar"

or maybe something else but it just hasn't come to me yet.
