Here is a way to donate food toward world hunger for free and increase your vocabulary. It could be good if you are ever stuck for a lyric. Each correct answer donates rice.

Play often.

Thank you for that link. I hope that they really do what they say on their site!

I am of course no mother tongue, but the UN will have to give 90 rice corns for Jimi75's result.

It was pretty difficult.

Good deal Jimi! I know I would struggle trying to remember my high school German if it was the reverse.

It's such a good cause. If everyone just does a little here from time to time it's really going to add up for them. Plus we will get to start reading posts with more colorful words...maybe.

Great find, Spud. I agree with sunvalleylaw, it's quite addictive, but fun, too. I went up to the 22nd level, scored total 570 grains.

Thanks for posting that!

That's great Spud! I can easily see myself doing that at least once a day. First time I scored level 37 and 290 grains of rice. This link will def be sent around to everyone I know. Thanks again Spud!

Once you've played you have to use one of the new words in a sentence. This should be fun.

erudition = learning

My erudition comes with knowing just how little I actually know.

I think I'm just going to shoot for 500 grains each session. Doesn't take long.

The placidness of that vast landscape was magical.

Placid = Calm

Lake Placid Blue...hmmm...I've heard this one before...not sure where...:whatever:

Actually, when using placid as a descriptor in that sense, the correct use is "placidity." Good effort though:AOK:

Vocab level of 37 when I quit at 1000 grains.

Good find, Spud!

Three years of Latin in high school and numerous linguistics classes in college allowed me to guess the correct answer on some of those :)

A grain of rice is around 30 mg, maybe a little less.

1000 grains = 1 oz, roughly, equivalent to handful

It is gonna take a while to load a ton on a truck...

Keep playing..!!

There are roughly 2 months until Christmas. If we all play a little bit every day we can make a big difference. Everyone pitch in on this - plus, you might learn something.
