In the new (January 08) GuitarWorld, they have a review of the Vox Valvetronix AD50VT2-XL. It's a 2x12 version of the more metal Valvetronix amps. All of the amps sounded very cool to my metal ears. They also include a couple of cleanish amps (the Dumble clean, Fender, and AC30 models--I assume they are the same as the standard Valvetronix). One really nice thing is that they dumped the relatively useless (to me, anyway) autowah and replaced it with an octaver. It's not enough to make me want to dump my AD30VT, but if I were in the market for a similar amp today, I'd definitely check it out. Only serious metalheads need apply.

It's funny that you posted this, as I watched the vid that Vox has on these very amphs today. Rob Math was demonstrating. Definitely an amph for screamin' metal solos. The octaver effect sounded cool, too!
