Here's the "ultimate" addition to your Les Paul collection! It is a Tokai Love Rock and includes all the bare necessities, chuckle, chuckle! In fact, it gives new meaning to Tokai's use of the name Love Rock.

1990 Tokai Love Rock on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7397251341&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1)

I'm offended!! Not by the paint job itself, but by the fact that anyone would do such a thing to a guitar!!

That's downright wrong!

If you're interested in seeing more of the destruction of perfectly good instruments, but on the bass side of the fence, check out the Bunnybass link I posted in the bass section of the forum. And then, prepare to laugh yourself silly.

Note that the description includes "low action" and "long sustain". Well, awright!! But it's those "chrome parts" that would worry me.... :D

I've always wondered about that. Townsend, Hendrix, and others would have probably known about the Japanese lawsuit guitars back then, and I have to wonder if they might not have substituted a "ringer" for one song, to be used as a "sacrificial lamb." I've wondered whether that was a real Gibson, or maybe a Burny or Tokai. Same goes for the strats that Hendrix would destroy.

Thats the funniest thing I've ever seen...too bad Tokai's are great guitars.. i could just imagine polishing that thing ..i think i'd move up to heavier gage strings ..say something with a G string about the diameter of a pencil...that guitar would be prone to some pretty weird wear patterns in the finish .. thats hilarious .....6S9L

Someone who can play really, really well, otherwise you'd be thoroughly laughed off the stage! Come to think about it, even if you played really well, you might still get laughed off the stage!
