Here's a little electric guitar fun for everybody's friday. This is Miles' band in 1973 in Vienna. The clip joins them in progress on the song "Ife" just before the guitar solo by one of my favorite of Miles' guitar players, Pete Cosey playing what appears to me to be a 12 string Vox Phantom [somebody who knows for sure pls correct me if I'm wrong].

The band is:

Miles Davis - Trumpet, Organ
Dave Liebman - Saxophone
Pete Cosey - guitar
Reggie Lucas - guitar
Al Foster - drums
Michael Henderson - bass
James Mtume Foreman - percussion

Enjoy it, I did.

That's bordering on the avant garde! That would sound pretty cool in a movie as background music during a scene of some type...throw everyone off they'd be going "wha?....what was that?".

Love avant-garde stuff, very nice 12-string sound.

Gotta go listen to Sun Ra now 'cause...

Space *is* the Place ;).
