I joined a band

I was asked recently to do some fill in work as a bass player for a country band. I didn't have a bass, so I asked if they had one, and it was all arranged. The day before practice, I was told that a bass player was found. So, now I'm one of two guitar players, with bass, steel guitar, drums and the singer.

I had a ball at practice. So far, we're doing some country classics, but there are a few originals that I have to learn. There's a couple rock tunes in there as well. We nailed "Folsom Prison Blues" the first time out! Everybody knows how to play, and is really laid back. We already have gigs waiting, whenever we get the music down and are ready.

Ladies and genn'lmen, this is gonna be some kinda fun!
