NAMM is coming in a month & it's nice to hear about all the new models.
Godin just released a sneek peek at a new model (in fact, the start of a whole new series.)

Any other pre-NAMM news?
I can't wait to hear what Eastwood & Reverend have up their sleeves.

Godin is one of my favorite guitar companies. Over the years I have played many Godins in the stores and just about every single one was excellent to play, coupled with the reasonable prices for them they are nice bargains.
Looks like the company is going back to the strat-shaped body again with this new line. I have a 1993 Godin ST-IV and the difference I can tell is that the new guitars will have true single coils (the ST-IV has blade humbuckers), plus the active circuit (the ST-IV has kind of a passive treble boost circuit by pulling up on the tone knob). My Godin is the second best playing guitar I have; I really like the neck radius which is 11.5" (why not 12" - must be a French Canadian thing, but it works for me), and it looks understatedly cool.

I have one recording done completely with the Godin, and it is Chinese Takeout (http://home.comcast.net/~kitn13/music/takeout.mp3)

They started doing the double cutaways with the Freeway line.
My son has a Freeway Classic. I have a Radiator & an SD.
All of them have 12" radius.
The LGs have a 16" radius. I think that the 11.5" is new.
What kind of wood is that on your ST-IV Aeolian?
Nice playing!
(There appears to be a skeleton face reflection near the tone knob on the bottom photo. It's true...look!)

I bought my ST-IV used (but in new condition) and it came with a glossy product sheet. On the sheet it states that the neck radius is 11.5".
You are right about the Freeway line, that's when Godin started doing strat shapes again. For a while they were into those modified tele shapes with a pronounced cutaway on the upper half.
I'm actually very interested in the Flat Five and the Montreal semi-hollow models. And an LG with P90s would be very tempting too.

The Montreal's are real lookers. I've always wanted to know how they sound.
I've almost bought a used LGP90 a coupl'a times, but I don't want all of my guitars to be Godins.
The Radiator & SD have that curvaceous Tele/Lester hybrid body. I've come to think it looks sexy.
