My Primary instrument is Five string bass. I have two, a Fender Marcus Miller V {MIA}, a Fender Jazz V {MIM}.
Next is four string bass I have a Squire Vintage Modified 70's Jazz Bass, and an SX SJB CT Fretless which I love. Thats my secondary instrument and it only cost $139.00. You guys probably know about Rondomusic.com, thats where I got it. They have good quality stuff for little$$.
My third instrument is a Squire Vintage Modified Telecaster SSH.
My amps are Fender Bassman 150,
Crate BT 50,
Fender Frontman 65 R.
I play primarily in Church, but I like Rock, Jazz, and Blues too.
That should get you started.
P.S. Im from Philadelphia PA. USA.

Hmm, bass player - ok, I won't get into the bass player jokes (we use drummers for that).

Good to have you aboard - there are a few from Philadelphia that belong to thefret.

Welcome and have fun.

Great instruments! I have a SX bass too, a Jazz bass copy, and I really like it. I like playing bass too, but it's my secondary instrument. Trying to learn how to play guitar is my main interest. :)

Welcome to TheFret, LowEndWonder, glad you joined us!:D
Don't know much about bass, I dabble in it a little.
I do know you can miss a beat or two on guitar and it's not too noticeable...but not on bass. The foundation sticks out like a sore thumb if you fumble.:D

Welcome!

I sometimes play bass too.

Used to play in church myself and miss it, hope to again some time. Btw, iirc the Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster SSH you have actually has stacked humbuckers in the two "singles" slots, so it's really HHH!
