Slide Master David Lindley

He is another great slide player. I saw him in Roskilde in Denmark in the early 90s. It was fabulous. He played as a duo with none other than the great Ry Cooder! He is another Master of slide. (Maybe we can find some youtube stuff of him for next Friday?)

Anyway, David plays all sorts of funky things with strings. Here he is on a steel guitar, playing Mercury Blues. This stuff smokes! :bravo:

Thanks, Rob! Great stuff.... I think the first time I heard of him was when he was playing all the wonderful slide on Jackson Browne's songs.
Maybe you should start a "best slide players" thread....... and see how long the list got.....:beer: :beer: :beer:

I have been a fan for an awful lot of years.

Just recently got the, Live at the Opera House in Vienna, CD, with Ry Cooder and his son along with Dave and his wife.

El Rayo X still sounds fresh....

I saw Cooder and Lindley on that tour too, Robert. What a show! "Mr. Dave" is one of the greats in my book.
