View Full Version : Replacing the On/Off switch on a TubeScreamer

It's seems lots of us have TubeScreamers here at the Fret. I've got a TS-9 from about 1984/5 that has an On/Off switch that just doesn't work anymore. It's been like that for a long, long time now.

I can't be the only one this has happened to. Is there somewhere anyone knows of that I can get a replacement part (is this possible?) to fix it myself, or should I be looking in the Yellow Pages to find a repair shop?

Any and all thoughts are welcome on this one. I'd really like to have it back in the lineup.

Thanks in advance,

David

I had to do this too.
I got one off Ebay. It's a small plastic plunger switch and if you can go #2 by yourself then you should be able to replace the switch yourself (it's easy). You'll need a soldering iron and about 10 minutes free time.

I'll pm you with a part link.

I misread the title. I thought it said:

"Replacing the On/Off switch WITH a tubscreamer"

:rotflmao: Now you can get no screaming solos on *everything* :rotflmao:

I'm glad that Spudball helped you out.
