ry cooder is the real deal....he also did all the slide work on the movie crossroads with ralph machio....kind of a goofball movie but i still like it...one of the kids favorite ry cooder songs is "one meatball"....they get a kick out of that one!

Showtime is the only official live recording with the whole band it's just fantastic if youy don't know it rush on Amazon and listen to it it's amazing

The versin of Jesus on he mainline with the backgrounds vocals of Bobby king and terry Evans is just so energetic and profound !

Flaco Jimenez which is a famous accordion plyare add an extra flavour to the show as well as the great sax player Frank Villareal

My favorite song of the record is Smack dab in the middle a typical example of a Gospel blues song with the dynamite groove of Ry and his band

Absolutely I have one exemplar of this show it's amazing David Lindley is also a true master of the slide I have one of his recent CD Twango Bango Deluxe with Wally Ingram it's great
