Does anyone have a diagram for wiring a Strat with the second tone knob for bridge pickup?

I have come to the conclusion that I need and want this. If you think about, isn't completely nutty that the "default" Stratocaster does not have the tone knob working with the bridge pup? That's probably why most people don't use it much.

If you get the tone knob working on the bridge puppy, you can tame the shrill highs and make better use this pickup position.

Where did I get this idea? Scott Henderson. He keeps his tone knob way down when he plays the bridge pickup.

Easy to do. I do with with all my Strats.

Here are a few that you can use. These aren't the direct link but each site has the mod you are interested in.
I left mine wired to the middle and just did a jumper from lug to lug on the switch to include the bridge into the tone circuit. It really takes the brittleness out of that pickup.

In Scott's video it sounds as if he has a capacitor and resistor wired into the guitar too. If you notice there is still plenty of high end when he turns down to 6. Does your guitar retain the highs as you turn down? If not you might want to consider this wiring mod while you have the pick guard off as well.

I tried bridging the tone side middle pickup and bridge pickup lugs on the selector switch with a .0005mf capacitor so I could use the tone pot on the bridge pickup and the middle pickup (as standard). It worked well, but I find that I like the tone pot shifted to the bridge pickup exclusively, with the middle pickup having no tone pot (wide open). Not only did this give me the tone control that I wanted on the bridge pickup, but oh, what a difference it made to the middle pickup! I used to think of the middle pickup as just there for the #2 & #4 positions. I never really used it alone much at all (on my old Strat with just a three way switch it was almost never). Well, because of this mod, I use that middle pickup a lot now. The tone is incredible. And IMO, it enhances the tone of the notch positions as well.

An additional benefit to this mod is that you can really take advantage of different tone capacitors for the neck and bridge pickups. I use a .022mf on the bridge pot, and a .010mf for the neck. Sure, you could do the same thing with the middle pickup wired to the tone control as standard, but why when most people don't like the tone of that pickup wired to the tone pot to begin with?

Simple mod, major difference.

I concur Data. I think the quack positions sound much better too without the tone on the middle pup.
