Great video Doc was a huge influence on me when I started to play flatpicking guitar and some bluegrass tunes. He has such an incredible voice him and his son Merle (?) were really an amazing duet ! happy to see that Doc is doing fine !:bravo:

Saw him last Friday playing in the SF Bluegrass fest in Golden Gate Park. Really fun to watch. He called out the moves to the other guy he was playing with as he went.

Hey Steve,

Does that mean you were at the, [not sure what it was called] Not Strictly Bluegrass in the Park? I saw a piece of one of them on PBS and it had a host of talented acts. Jorma Kaukonen and Emmiy Lee, The Subdudes and Dave Alvin. Sounded like a very full afternoon. Brought back memories of Sadie Hawkins Day in the park, [back in the sixties]

Good to see your posts again Chad,
Doc is the best.
I saw that festival on PBS the other night. It was great.
Doc will be at Merlefest ( www.merlefest.org ) in April and I am going to try my best to go. What a line-up!

Doc makes it look so easy, But don't all the best ones always make it look easy?
