So, you may recall that I bought this Stinger by Martin at the used gear shop for about $90 this summer. Well I just upgraded it with a GFS Lil Puncher (splittable) in the neck, and a Mean 90 single coil in the bridge. I think it sounds much better.

Thanks guys! I didn't include a clip with the neck pickup tapped--it sounds very nice. I am a P-90 fan, and I really like what the Mean 90 brings to the table here.

The guitar is funny, since it is plywood and routed for a tremolo. It makes the guitar sound very springy and open. It rings nicely. These pickups, plus the new pots, give me much more versatility. I look forward to playing out with this now.

I have a GM110 by the way. These are little known seemingly and under rated seemingly. I love mine. Analog modeling. 30 watts. Great little amp.

My SX Gib LP Jr copy has two P90's on it. What are the mean 90's and are they different or direct replacement P90's. mine are not the dog ear type.

Mine do not have pickup rings and I put foam under them to make them height adjustable. The screws just go into the body wood. Looks like pickup rings with adjustable pickups would be a big improvement in that area.

My SX Gib LP jr copy is set neck all mahogany and sounds really great. Super bite, two vol, two tone controls. Great feel, antique burst, and playability, plus super tones. The neck and the bridge P90's are quite different in tone and the mix is beautiful.

That tele looks great.
