I am developing some rotating outlines for my practice time so I can use the time better. I am looking for exercises that I would likely use to warm up and get into the practice and guitar without having to think too much. It helps to get me started.

I have a finger stretching one where you fret three steps up the board with your 1-3 fingers, starting near the bridge, then work down toward the neck. (Thanks to Spud for that one). I also alternate pick that exercise.

I would like a few others to add in the mix. What are some of your favorite exercises? :)

There is one called "The Spider". Good for stretching and for coordination and technique.

Great ideas guys. It will be good to have a few in rotation so as to not get stale on any one. Satch has a series starting for beginners in Guitar Player that might relate to some of his 10 tips vid.
