Gee, thank's for posting THAT, Strummy. We'll never see pie_man again...:D

Happy Pi day, y'all... In honor of this date, I'll go compute the circumference of a circle somewhere.

I just spent the whole day going around in circles, I guess that is a form of celebration. :whatever:

ww
You lost me with that one Warren.

A little googling later & I find that it's a reference to Stripes, the movie with Bill Murray.

Vood would claim that this is why God created google, but I still maintain that it was for the stock options.

& now the quotes:

Sergeant Hulka: Okay, Mr. Push-ups, let's hear your story.

John Winger: Chicks dig me, because I rarely wear underwear and when I do it's usually something unusual. But now I know why I have always lost women to guys like you. I mean, it's not just the uniform. It's the stories that you tell. So much fun and imagination. [points to the soldier next to him]

John Winger: Lee Harvey, you are a madman. When you stole that cow, and your friend tried to make it with the cow. I want to party with you, cowboy. But the two of us together? Forget it! I'm gonna go out on a limb here. I'm gonna volunteer my leadership to this platoon. An army without leaders is like a foot without a big toe. And Sergeant Hulka isn't always gonna be here to be that big toe for us. I think that we owe a big round of applause to our newest, bestest buddy, and big toe... Sergeant Hulka. [the soldiers start clapping]

Sergeant Hulka: Well, okay, hotshot. We're gonna see what kind of soldier you are.

Given the circumference of Spock's neck, its radius is 1/2 the circumference divided by the stardate.

But that won't work as Vulcan's have strong necks.

ok, this is the deal. shiner dvr's EVERY flippin' episode of EVERY flippin' version of star trek. he watches them on weekends... when he's not guitar playing and cab building, that is. if we do that instead of watch movies, i get to play guitar every commercial.

i originally ignored what was happening on the various shows, just waiting for the next commercial, when through osmosis, i actually started recognizing different species, and he busted me.

he's the one who can answer any question about vulcan physiology known to mankind or otherwise... :rotflmao:
