Hi to everyone. OK here's the thing. I have always loved the electric guitar since being a teen in the 60s and tried real hard to make the cut. Saved by Punk in the 70s when I could get away in a band playing 3 chords and finally getting to make some serious music in the 80s with the UK indie band Red Guitars. Recorded 7 singles and 2 albums in some great studios (Air, Town house, Amazon) and got the recording bug. When the inevitable musical differences split us up in 86 I started engineering and producing in local studios. Started my own mobile, Reelsound in 89 and have just about made a living all the way through . Not bad for a guy who is still moved by E to B7 to A. Over the years I have had loads of great guitars and quite a few dogs and cuerrently I am loving a great little guitar I bought when out working in Capetown SA made from a 1 gallon Castrol oil can.

Welcome to the Fret....and yes...must see clips of that oilcan guit fiddle

Your tale reminds me of the corner musician I seen perform in Memphis Tn the guy had 2 guitars set up that were made from tree limbs and old cigar boxes. had 2 strings on them and some pickup gadget plugged into a Peavey Bandit 112 and he was playing slide on them.....had a kick drum that he played at the same time....it was amazing.
