I absolutely love it......its a great axe and it plays amazing. I've been wanting an SG for a while and my girlfriend bought it for me while I was in the back of Guitar Center and walked up and handed it to me......told me to "play it"....I said I liked it, and she said "good, cause I would hate to have to un-pay for it.....enjoy."

ahhhhh.....women.:master: :master: :master: Cant live without the good ones.

Now after playing this guitar and going back to my paul it just feels weird....I don't know why it does but I do know this is now my main axe.

it has 490R and a 490T. As soon as the fine old lady has the batteries recharged and in the camera, you will get your pics... its the faded SG in worn red......it plays nice on the factory setup... the only thing I want to do to it is get rid of the plastic nut for a tusk or graphite nut. Other than that I get my new amp here in a few weeks too.....gotta love a woman who supports GAS!

Nice. I've got to agree that I prefer the feel of a non glossy finish on the neck. They feel so comfortable.

I've just bought an SG faded yesterday. In cherry. It's a 2007 model and I bought it used from the craigslist. It's got SD alnico pro II in neck and SD pearly gates in bridge. Also got a hard case with it as well as a strap and loks.

All for $600 cash. :)

How'd it play? Damn sweet but I did my own setup on it (no cutting).

I have an original 1968 SG and I played a friends worn brown SG and I was very impressed with it. I think this series is a real winner. The SG and the Les Paul are really nice guitars, and sound very good.
As far as the "wierd" feeling you get when you go to an SG over a Les Paul, it is caused by the double cutaway and the postion of the neck in relation to the bodyl It frees up a lot more space in the higher frets for solos and easy playing. Similar to a 335. It is hard to beat.
