I don't know if this has ever happened to you, but I lost it.
Here we have a simple song, I know the chords, I know the number of strums, but I lost the strum pattern. If I play it all down, it doesn't sound right. I play it along with the actual song, it doesn't sound right. Anyone know the strum pattern or it might be a case of losing the timing.
Not sure what it is, but it doesn't sound right.

When the time is right and I don't completely embarrass myself.
Maybe as I get better and a few of the others taking lessons are comfortable we can collaborate on something.

I have "lost it" with tunes I've been playing for 30 years. Lyrics, timing, chord progression, you name it on occasion it just vanishes.
Recently I was playing "My Back Pages" with a bunch of folks listening. I totally blanked on the last verse. Fortunately it's Dylan so the lyrics are totally obscure anyway. Just repeated verse one and no one noticed a thing. :D
