yeah, I just want some info on these pickups, I recently saw some of these on a friend's parent's guitar ( a nice voodoo strat) and I was wondering if these are a separate corporation, or a subsidiary of fender, and some general statistics data on these (ie. magnets, impedances, general sounds etc.) if you could help out a bit that'd be great.

Their site has all the information you need. They are a separate company.

Mike's a super nice Gent from my neck of the woods. A couple folks here might recognize him from 'Rocker Dads of Facebook'.

It's too bad for Lace that Don Mare has left them to start doing his own pickups. Too bad for Lace, but great for Tele players out there searching for vintage tone. Don was a tireless promoter of the Lace line, with a vast knowledge about pickup design.

I have a set of the Lace Holy Grails that I really like. Vintage voiced, noiseless pickups that are about as close to vintage single coils as one could expect of "noiseless" pickups. Not exactly like real single coils, but a close approximation and great sounding pickups that are dead quiet.

There's a guy over at fenderforum.com who goes by the user name SMark (Mark Mitchell). He uses the Lace Hot Golds in many of his guitars. He's got some great sound files over there that your can listen to, and he's a superb guitar palyer as well.
