I actually have two lessons this week for you guys. The first is continuing on with last weeks lesson on modes with a lesson on the Mixolydian mode:
http://blog.markwein.com/2008/04/10/mixolydian-mode.aspx
Its just construction of the scale in the 5 CAGED root patterns...we won't get to applications until next week.
To help get ready for next weeks lesson we have a supplementary lesson on Dominant 7th chord tones....

No problem!
I've probably said it before but the lessons serve me a couple of purposes so I feel pretty rewarded already, but it makes me feel good to know that you guys appreciate them, all the same!

This is great! I have not had time to dive into it yet, but sure appreciate your sharing it. I am sure it will be very useful when I can get to it. Like I said before, right in there with what we are doing in lessons right now!

Cool!
There is a "natural progression" of study, I think and we just happen to be on the same track right now...:)

Oh, big drool! A Bassman is one of my top 1 or 2 dream amphs. I have not seen this particular model before.
I am glad, and lucky for me, that we happen to be on the same track right now. :D

They are pretty cool...if you dig that, here is a "guitar porn" listing of my other amps...I was able to buy most of this stuff before they became valuable.

Good stuff Mark.
I like the way you take the time to build a series of lessons up without rushing over or skipping the fundamental ideas.

Thanks!
I always had problems learning from books or videos that assumed you knew certain things. Since I don't know the skill level of every person using the lessons I figure its better to go a slow and as complete as possible....

:AOK: I agree. You can always skip parts if you already know it. I like having the information available. :AOK:
