Great!!!

How about a little detail about it for those of us that don't know all the facts?

I was just looking at some older amps yesterday just to see what prices are like.

Thats very clean Mark ..congrats .. what caps are you going with ? .. be sure to keep those old Mallory and Astron's , looks like it still has the orig 2 prong ac cord , be sure to change that out to a proper grounded 3 prong , could save your life .. that tweed is so clean ..very nice enjoy .

Thanks guys I have been playing it very sparingly and not cranking it much. First thing I did was test components and the old Electrolytic caps are pretty far outta spec as is one resistor so, they are 50 years old so kinda figured as much. I sure dont want to burn the iron up. I have some NOS tube and new Sprague caps and resistor coming and Ill give it a proper tune up and 3 prong cord. Dont worry those old astrons arent goin anywhere. Thanks Spud but Ill pass on the double boulder for now:rotflmao:

Congratulations! Those are great amps. I have a '56 Princeton and I love it. I changed the power cord on mine to a three prong, and replaced the handle. I tossed the original parts in the bottom of the amp. Here's my Princeton:
