Howdy.

I am Tony, a beginner from Australia. I have had guiatars since I was a kid but have never been taught to play and so have never really stuck with it.
I have just recently pulled out a couple of guitars I bought a few years ago and am basically starting over again from scratch as any skill which I had developed has disappeared since I stopped playing.

Currently I have a Squier standard double fat strat which I love, one of the best quality squiers I have seen, love the grain in the neck, beautiful.

Also have an Ashton dreadnought which is laminated and a bit yucky but is fun to play nonetheless.

My musical interests vary but I love rock 'n' roll, late 50's some early 60's. I also like rock and metal but only certain artists and songs interest me.

Dream guiatars would be a Gretsch 6120, like the one :master: Brian Setzer plays, would also love a really nice strat. My first guitar was a strat copy and as such I have always loved them. The Gretsch aside I wouldnt own any brand electric besides Fender, I just love their look, sound and feel.

Contrary to that tourist ad, Steffe, I've actually never heard an Aussie refer to shrimp except for tiny little things we sometimes use for fishing bait. Real Aussies eat prawns!

Hi Tony, welcome mate.

Cheers,
Ron

Welcome Tone E! I like your taste in guitars. I love my strat and would love a Setzerish hollowbody one day as well. Lots of newbs and semi-newbs here, and lots of helpful experienced players too.
