I was inspired to do this over at another forum and thought I would share it here...
I had a rare moment of both sunshine and free time so I thought I would try taking some nice pictures of my electrics...not pictured is my Rickenbacher 620 and my black Warmoth strat since I ran out of time this afternoon....maybe next weekend...http://img3.harmony-central.com/acapella/ubb/smile.gif
My '62 reissue (early 80's) with a Warmoth neck:

Here's more....
1979 Gibson "The Paul"
http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l230/markwein/IMG_0961.jpg
1979 Tokai "Springy Sound" strat...my first good sounding guitar...this guitar is a "lawsuit" model in the truest sense of the word. When I was a kid I bought this guitar at Sightsinger Music in here in Orange (actually around the corner from where my studio now is). When Fender moved out of their Fullerton facility they blew out a ton of inventory to the local stores and included in Sightsingers haul was a trio of Tokias that had been used as examples of copyright infringement when Fender sued Tokai in the early 1980's. I was lucky enough to have a guitar teacher who talked me out of the Charvel I thought I wanted and into this guitar. At one point I had a Hotrail in the bridge but it is now back to a more "stock" condition. It needs a setup horribly and I haven't used it on a gig in nearly 10 years but I'll never get rid of it...notice the stickers on the back of the headstock in the last picture....http://img3.harmony-central.com/acapella/ubb/smile.gif

While I looking at the pics I was thinking that was the bed of an older pick-up - the guitars and truck look nice (I'm use to seeing rust in these parts - on the truck, not the guitars).
It took me 25 minutes to look at the pics, mostly from studying the guitars, but also my index finger cramped up while spinning the mouse wheel up and down:D

Do you have an older truck? I got mine in August and I really love it...one of the guys on Harmony Central thought it was the deck of my house...:)

No, I work with someone that buys and sells older cars and trucks (40's - 60's) and I recognized it after seeing some of his vehicles. I had some older Mercedes from the early 70's, but no trucks. Older trucks that are in decent shape are difficult to find around here. Most are working trucks so by the time they reach 10 to 15 years old they are not something you pick up unless you need it for dirty hauling or snow plowing.

Thanks!
I dig that generation Ford, and the one up to about '58 or '59...my father in law got me into the old trucks...he has a 1950 Chevy that he's just about gotten finished from a complete "down to the frame" stock restoration...its awesome. Mine is a daily driver and I'm slowly restoring it but I am pretty short on time and won't be able to be as complete....

i don't drive it daily but mechanically it runs like a top...took the kids out for a drive in it yesterday....
it's due for a new paint job and i am going to install an a/c unit in it because driving it in florida during the summer with no a/c is pretty butal....espcially with that small bloc ford v-8 sitting up there!
here are a couple of pics...

That is a beautiful truck...is it fairly stock or hot rodded? I'm trying to keep mine as stock as I can. I am getting a taste of "no A/C" in the California summer and I think that will be a "sooner" rather than "later" addition to mine, though. :)
What I really want is a late 1950's or early to mid 1960s Suburban...

thanks...i have kept it stock appearing but when the old 223 six cylinder died i put a 302 v-8 in it....also has an automatic transmission (but i kept the original steering column and used the original "3 on the tree" shifter") and did not add any markings for showing what gear you are in so when you look in the cab it appears totally stock.
also added power brakes with front discs....
didn't mean to hi-jack this thread....we could start an old truck thread if the mods want....

Thats OK...I love talking about trucks and I did post the picture of mine :D
My truck doesn't have the original motor (it has a rebuilt v8 with the casting #'s obscured so I don't know what size and a rebuilt powerglide), so I'll probably end up replacing it with a 350 and 700r transmission since there is nothing original left over. Driving California freeways with a 2 speed powerglide is kind of a drag, too.
I get bummed when I see people doing wacky things to these old trucks and cars...

Thanks! The Tele is really comfy to play...I think if it was a more traditional Tele body I wouldn't enjoy playing it as much...

Hey Warren,
Thats for the pics. The finished product looks a lot better than the last time I saw her. When did you finally finish the pick up truck?
