Haha, fair enough Sumi!
Here's some pics.
First, a month or so ago I entered a contest over at another forum and won a TS5 modded to the original 808 chip specs. By coincidence, it arrived today! Can be seen below (other pedals went to other winners):
http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/Chazzy29/SCRAP%20STUFF/DSCN4342Small.jpg
Second, it looks like I probably won that ebay auction for the 1-Benjamin Strat with the two P-90's. Per my nefarious plan, an online buddy overbid me by a dollar and will have it sent to me instead of himself, and I'll be sending him a money order and thank-you present. At least I think it was him-- haven't got confirmation that the winner was in fact him or whether it might have been someone else.
Anyhow, here's the guitar I think I'll be getting:

Nutty what you can get for a hundred bucks nowadays.

I would like two helpings of Edith please. Wait, you've thoughtfully pictured two helpings.

Mmm, cake.
I had a chance at cheesecake last night @ the combined birthday/Mother's Day feast, but passed. I need to loose about 20 pounds as it is.
Mrs. K split a piece with La Krashpadita. I had one bite.

Haha, all that stuff is well beyond me, I ain't a pedal guy. I had to ask the contest officials what that was. They assured me it was a good thing.
Apparently one place on the web charges $45 for the mod, if you send your TS-5 to them.
Like I said though, all beyond me. All I know is I got a free pedal.

Mostly cash. From my parents, inlaws, and gran-in-law. Enough to cover a cheapo P-90 Strat on sleazebay (though they don't know that). I told my gran-in-law (via e-mail) that I would spend what she sent on booze and cheap women. Also, I won a Tube Screamer overdrive pedal on another forum and by coincidence it arrived on my birthday. I A/B'd it with another of my distortion pedals and I'll have to do a lot more playing at volume to see how I like it for sure. The one I A/B'd it against is a cheapo DOD Supra Distortion, and comparatively the TS5 (modded to 808) has a lot lower output, less gain, and less treble. Certainly for my punk rock band (if I ever get it up and running again) I think I'd actually prefer the DOD, which is probably borderline sacrilege. I may try the TS5 with one of my side bands where they don't do as high-energy stuff and see how I like it at full band volume though.
For pics of the pedal and the guitar, go back in this thread to post #17 a couple pages back.
My siblings also bought me a $50 gift card to Carraba's (a chain Italian restaurant, for any non-US people), which we used Sunday for a joint Mother's Day/early birthday dinner.

Hey, I like that cheapo strat. I like the blue and the Mother of Toilet Seat PG. :D Nice to receive funds to cover it. Congrats!
I have never heard a P90 strat that I know of. Be sure and post some clips please.

Haha, while that's a sweet sentiment, anybody can hear my playing on the Crash Pad or Hoyt & the Hotheads myspace pages, which is no doubt plenty. Proabbly more than plenty. ;)
I'm not really a "solo guitar" or "guitar instrumental" kinda guy. I like playing live in a band, and playing original music in a recording setting.
But the usual "here's me playing over a backing track" kinda thing, with no offense to those who enjoy that, is just not of interest to me, and to top it off, I would suck at it. Srsly!

Haha, maybe so! We'll see. At one hundred bucks it's a bit of a gamble. I already had a guy on a punk rock forum tell me that since it was a Bullet Strat the neck would "suck."
