I”ve been giving this a lot of thought lately, and I realize I don’t really like my career. So I’ve decided it’s time for a change. I’m going to quit my job. Well, I realize since I work for myself I can’t really quit, but it’s not like they can fire me if I don’t show up for work.
I’ve decided to become . . . a rock god. Come Monday I’ll be getting up at the crack of noon, and doing nothing but practicing guitar, eating cheetos, watching porn, drinking beer, playing video games, doing drugs . . . you know, all the stuff a rock god in training needs to practice.
I know it won’t be easy, but I’m willing to do whatever it takes. It just helps to know that all my fretter buddies will be there to support me . . . sniff:cry:

go Shiner, go!!!
It's always good when someone has a plan and it sounds like this has been thought out and well planned. When they find you face down in your beer and cheeto vomit I will be the one that will say "that's the way he wanted to go out":puke:
I'm calling People Magazine and Rolling Stone with this late breaking story!!! If you get really good at it, you can hang out with Keith Richards.

:rotflmao: I think you're right Pappy. But Stum is connected. He knows the folks in the industry. And if HE'S making phone calls, my foot is in the door!:AOK:
Look out David Archuleta, here comes Shiner.:dude:

I like cheetos too. Maybe I should come over and help you with your career move?

Shiner, since your decision is pretty solid , let me know when CB is ready to kick your butt out the door. She may need a good cook and someone to string her guitars and travel the road with her to all those gigs she will get as a solo act.

I thought Keith was already dead! Oh, excuse me, that's right, he just LOOKS like he's dead! (And has for years!) I watched him induct ZZ Top into the Rock Hall of Fame a couple of years back and even his body is still moving, his brain definitely left town years ago. :thwap:
Shiner, if you're going to pursue this career path, one thing you've got to have is an agent skimming 20% off the top. I can't let you take this path without at least offering to help. So, I'll volunteer to be your agent as an act of brotherhood and support (for the 20% of course). ;)

Sniff, you guys are great. What more could a rock god in training ask for then a great group of friends like y'all. I'm just starting out and already I have an agent, a connection with the press, a buddy to eat cheetos with, and someone to take care of CB when I ultimately strangle on my own cheeto/beer vomit.

What are friends for! Free offers of help like that don't come around everyday.

But wait, there's more. As your agent, your publicity guy and your cheetos eating pal, we'll take care of your guitars once you are gone.
I cannot believe the sacrifices we make for a fellow fretter, soon to be rock god.
