Do you have cute little tinny speakers connected to your computer? A boombox? Are you subjected to some company-approved corporate Muzak piped in everywhere? Are you one of those rich lawyer types that has a top of the line stereo in his/her office in addition to the big audiophile system at home?

Share! Of course, pics are encouraged.

Me, I have the ultimate ghetto system.

Computer is plugged into a 1960's Kustom 100 head similar to the one seen seen below:

The Kustom is in turn plugged into a '70's Ampeg SVT 8x10 bass cabinet similar to the one seen seen below:

It actually sounds pretty great, aside from the lack of stereo separation.

Your turn!

I've got an old Sony CFD-444 boombox that I got when I was a sophomore in college (circa 1987-88). It's got a stereo RCA line-in so that works great. The CD player always gave me trouble--I'm sure it doesn't work at all any more. When a CD would stop playing and the lens would move back to the center, it would spit some greasy garbage on my CDs, eventually rendering them unplayable. However the amp in it works fine and it has a five-band equalizer so it sound a lot better than el cheapo speakers.

I use a set of Grado headphones at work. At home on my desktop I have a set of powered mini stereo speakers and a subwoofer.

Our workplace doesn't have music, so I listen to something at work I use my laptop played real low so you can only hear it if you are sitting in my chair and really tuned in. At home it's the same laptop connected to Altec Lansings and a subwoofer. The rest of my sound system is listed below.:D

Work? Whazat?

Well when I do something resembling that it changes weekly. Last week it was Mackie powered sub woofers with EV top cabinets powered by a QSC amp. See http://www.thefret.net/showthread.php?t=7300&highlight=judd+grossman

I use JBL Creature II powered speakers. In white to match my Mac, of course. Who can resist a speaker that looks like Darth Vader's helmet??

Bose speakers in iMacs of various types, mostly. Mostly iTunes radio, or my own playlists. I have an old, large boombox with a subwoofer that I play CDs on occasionally.
