Did you know that Vinnie now makes a slide out of the same material as his picks.

I just got mine in the mail.
I plan on working on slide playing later this year & thought that such a lightweight slide would be perfect for learning. Especially since I won't want to change the action on my guitars.
If his picks are any indication it should sound great.
I also thought about getting this cool keychain pick holder for $5, but didn't.

yeah i saw that on the gear page...was thinking of getting one...will be interested in what you think of it....i use a ceramic mudslide right now that i like but from what i hear....the v-slide is much lighter but with the tonal qualities of a heavier slide...

I don't know how to play slide yet, but I can mess around & compare it to the other slides that I have.
Sometime within the year I plan on putting some time into learning how to play slide.

i'm not much of a slide player either (or for that matter not much of a guitar player in general!) :D but i love the sound of good slide playing....what finger do you put your slide on....i use the pinkie but sometimes have a hard time with controlling the slide.....that's why the v-slide interests me...

ww Yup me too.
I have a Rocky Mountain Bluesboy slide

Ain't no way in hell that I can control that with my pinky given my limited skill set.
I'm hoping that I can handle the V-slide on my pinky.

The mudslides look more high tech. The Bluesboy is handmade & is uneven & not perfectly cylidrical. It looks like pottery.

I think you need an uneven pottery wheel thrown Bluesboy slide.
It won't help, but you can always blame the lack of symmetry.

I tried to let folks know a couple of weeks ago. I guess I should have started a new thread.
