Tom was my guitar teacher in College, and much of how I play and teach the guitar is informed by those few years that I was his student. Those of you who are doing my lessons or working from my book are (in a sense) "second generation" Tom Hynes students...


This is a great video lesson on constructing chords from your open E, A and C shapes...really good stuff!

Wow, Mark, the man knows his stuff. He does fly through the theory pretty fast though, but it's presented well and understandable.

I think there is an assumption that you know basic theory, and have the book that comes with the DVD.

He was a huge influence on me as a young musician and much of what I do today still has its roots in what Tom taught me either directly in lessons or indirectly through example...
