Is there a free software program which will slow down an mp3 or .wav file without changing pitch?

The Amazing Slow Downer does this, but it's $50.

I use this. Works pretty well.

My Tascam GT1 Guitar Trainer hasn't seen much use since I got this software.

Look no farther than your Window Media Player. In the menu under 'play' you will find 'play speed', the options are limited to slow, normal or fast. This only works for an mp3 file and not for wav file.

Hope that helps.

Audacity will do it too. And you can use it to record as well.

When I saw the subject line, I thought maybe the site improvement was just too fast for you.

I've been using this one in my PC days (which are over) and it worked well.
