Too expensive - cheaper to buy two tickets and just before the show I get up to go to the bathroom. I come back when it's apparent the music (loosely used word) has ended and say "Did I miss anything?"

Man, it doesn't get any better than that. A brilliant player, inventor, and a living legend. The Mrs. earned a gold star with that gift!

Sweet. Make sure to give her a good back rub to say thank you.

Too expensive . . .

Why are divorces so expensive? . . . because they're worth it!

Sweet lady and sweet trip Ted!:bravo: Can't wait to hear the review.

No, too obvious. Plus, what will you do in the bathroom for 2 hours? Solitaire is only so much fun. . . If you have any homosexual friends, you can give him your ticket! Or you could get clear earplugs, and paint eyes on your eyelids (like the 3 Stooges). Then you can fall asleep and no one will know. That should work. . .

Mine wants to take me to see Barry Manilow.

Here's what you need to do.

Wear a dress jacket to the show. Tell Mrs. Strum that you are going to a Manilow show and want to fit in and be classy. That'll impress her.

Slip an iPod in the jacket pocket, and run the earbud cable up the back of the jacket, on the inside. Tuck the earbuds at the inside collar of the jacket.

Before the show, excuse yourself to visit the facilities. While there, untuck the earbuds, apply them and turn on the iPod to your favorite song list.

Go back to your seat, and smile and clap politely when everyone else does.

You get to listen to good music, and Mrs. Strum is happy!

I really should charge for this advice. This is GOLD I tell ya!:AOK:

That's great. I have seen him quite a few times and he is very entertaining. People that keep saying they want to see him really shouldn't be putting it off much longer if you know what I mean. Enjoy your trip to NYC, Ted. Make sure you check out 30th Street Guitars and also stop over at 48th and go to Rudy's and Manny's too!

Second what Stinger said, Les is getting tired, 93 now. If you are thinking about it, do it while you can.
He seems like a he77 of a nice guy with a great sense of humor.

PS.. check out the price on the Lenny replica at GC

I just realized the time stamps on the posts :thwap:

Well I am glad you enjoyed seeing a living legend. Les Paul can still entertain God bless him.
