Who Has the Best Programming in Your Town?

Post the website that you most enjoy in your town. Post the link to their site and tell us why you feel they are the best. Don't post one you heard while traveling - just one (only one) that rises above the rest.

I listen to CD's most of the time, but when I do listen to the radio, 90% of the time it is the ALTERNATION. It's my only opportunity to hear what is new out there, while still hearing something I recognize.

They are located about 10 miles south of me, but unfortunately they have a weak signal and I can listen to them half way to work - about 20 miles north and then they fade.

Besides getting to hear some new music - they are commercial free and they have no time slot with a shock jock Howard S wannabe.

Doesn't matter what type of music they play or if it's sports talk, farmers report - whatever it is, post it and tell us about it.

I'd have to say Rock 96 WSFQ (http://baycitiesradio.net/wsfq/) out of Menominee, MI. They play mostly classic rock and 80s metal. It's pretty powerful so I receive it loud and clear even though I'm 45 minutes away.

I like listening to sports radio out of Green Bay or Menominee--both are ESPN affiliates. Unfortunately it tends to be "all Packers, all the time." That's especially annoying with the whole Favre bruhaha going on now.

Ha ha ha ha ha. Best? Well best for 20-30 years ago. We are stuck in a time warp here. There is nothing worth listening to so it's hard to say what exactly is best. Sorry but this part of the country is way out of touch and since I'm living in the present I can't really answer your question. :(

After being in the right place at the right time, San Francisco, Ca. from 1960 - 69. At least radiowise and undergroundwise and hallucinigenicwise. Man 0 man!!

Now have this radio station down here in the Tampa Bay Area. Going on 20 some years of listener sponsored programming. I believe that they have live streaming and a person would have to check out the show schedule to see what is on.

This is where I got Reckless Kelly, Paul Thorn, Chuck Prophet, Donna the Buffalo, Cold June. I have always considered it like being in Austin.

none of them are in my town. local stations lacking. had to post what i listen to when i'm driving to destination x in the state, based upon where i'm normally driving.

I drive to Canada, I drive to New York, I've driven to California - do you see a list of 50+ stations???

I'm about to hold you in contempt. Stick to the thread counselor. (I have no idea if any of that is correct, just things I picked up while walking through the room when the TV's.) I can also recite an ED commercial.

Just to show y'all how lucky you are. In the town where I grew up, this was the only station we could get. And things haven't changed.
