To steal a quote from another forum that I read (tractors):

Anybody can own a Kubota. To own three Kubotas, it takes a man who wears the pants :D

I guess you can translate that into major guitars and amps too :D

I was trying to post a pic... but the da*n 2GB SD card is giving my laptop grief and it's frozen.

I know this thread is worthless without pics or clips, but I picked up an Ibanez Artcore Custom Semi today. Kind of an impulse purchase, but it was there staring me down in the shop. Very nice lightly used guitar in near mint condition. I believe I saw this guitar recently in the locals, but it ended up in a shop I frequent on consignment. Payed a little more than I was hoping to, but got a nice guitar at a decent price. A few packs of strings were thrown in, and the offer to play it for a couple of weeks and bring it back in for a setup.

Looks a lot like this...

The Fret Guidelines to posting prevent me from getting into specific details.

Anyone know where I can buy some nice jewelry quickly?

You can sleep in our basement for the next few weeks, if you need.

How much did that boot in the behind hurt? :)

It hurt more coming out than it did going in... and that's all I have to say about that. ;)

Sweet guit Al! I'm sure it's worth all the pain. Next time just tell her you bought it as a gift for her because it's almost as beautiful as she is. Works at my house.

Or . . . maybe you should take her to the Bahamas.:D

Thanks for the nice words Folks!

Here's a shot of the guitar... I'll post some feedback/clips after I've
had it a while so I can give a better review.

What...? Did she shoot you in the back with an arrow, or something...

Nice guitar, David. Congratulations! Everyone needs a semi-hollow body, it's like in the rule book or something (isn't it?).

Just think of the pain like childbirth or something. Women always say that's worth the pain (although I just can't imagine!). And just think, you won't even have to send the guitar to college...;)

I've got the low end version, the AS-73 in Cherry Red Transparent. After a pickup change and re-wiring, it sounds fantastic. Yours being the better version, it probably won't even need that.

Thanks Bloozcat! I really came very close to ordering the Cherry AS73 like you have... but I knew I didn't stand much of a chance to justify buying this one if I already had the AS73. I'm really interested in one like yours in the future though... that colour is fantastic!

That's their top of the line model with that finish. Ibanez has several more models with that finish and every one of them is outstanding. I've played all of them and the only thing that has kept me from buying one is that they are darned expensive. I trust you got a killer deal?

Beautiful guitar.:AOK:
