August 12 - BDay of Two Guitar Heroes

Today is the birthday of two of my guitar heroes...

Mark Knopfler (b. 1949)
Pat Metheney (b. 1954)

Both have provided me countless hours of musical enjoyment. Happy Birthday!!!!

Ps. It's also the birthday of Sir Mix-a-Lot whom we all may remember likes big butts and cannot lie.

And in a wierd little coincidence, today is the the anniversary of Edisons invention of the phonograph. Only reason I know this, it was mentioned on the radio this am. Edisons first recording was "Mary had a Little Lamb". The radio then played SRV's version. Cool way to note the date.
