It's sooo quiet in here, I thought I'd show off a bit and put a porn picture of mine on the wall...

Very nice SPT! Here's a shot of my "Dreadman tuner buttons", mahogany.

Beautiful! I don't think I'd ever seen that pic with the maple buttons [Edit: These ARE mahogany buttons as stated in your post. Another brain-fade on my part]
Was it lacquer you put on it finally?

As I recall I went with about 4-5 coats of tung oil varnish

I just could not resist attempting/sharing this.
I was also on one of The Dreadman's list of charitible contributors. It is all Timing!!
I was able to put rosewood buttons on the D28-12N and maple buttons and headstock veneer on the J28SCEDL. I did receive a little criticism on the headstock idea. It is completely reversible if I choose. You can also see where I removed the pickguard from the J28. Had to use a superglue solvent to get the residue off.

I had a set for my jumbo, but sold them with the guitar. Should have kept them, they would look nice on the new acoustic.

I got 3 sets from Dman and I don't intend to sell any of them, with or without a guitar...
Thanks for sharing your pics, guys. Any close-up shots showing the wood on the buttons...?
